Intro

Hi, my name is Dan Cassin. I am a data scientist with a passion for interpreting data, designing visualizations, and creating actionable content through Data Munging, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision. In addition to my skills as a data scientist, I have over a decade of experience in the hospitality and audio visual industry and one year experience as the keyboardist in an Elvis cover band. In my previous roles, I successfully directed the operations, sales, and customer relations of multi-million dollar businesses and attained multitudes of hard skills and meta skills that have aided me in my transition to data science. As a data scientist, I zero in on key points of interest to investigate and create actionable solutions.

About

Hi, my name is Dan Cassin. I am a data scientist with a passion for interpreting data, designing visualizations, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and creating actionable content. At the beginning of 2020, I decided to pursue a career change through Thinkful’s Data Science program, and it has given me the tools and portfolio I need to feel confident about entering into the data science industry. In addition, I have ten years experience in the hospitality and audio visual industry and one year as the keyboardist in an Elvis cover band. In my previous roles, I successfully directed the operations, sales, and customer relations of multi-million dollar businesses, but despite my success, I still felt unfulfilled. After a decade in the industry, I had attained multitudes of hard skills and meta skills, but due to the nature of the events industry, many were relegated to that sector, which is why I began searching for other avenues of growth. When I began coding a few years ago and learning about data science, I realized my future lied in a new direction, which led to my enrollment in Thinkful’s program. As of July 2020, I completed their program, and I am excited for my first full-time role in Data Science.
